MADISON, NJ - In a letter to parents and guardians, Mark Schwarz, Superintendent of Madison Public Schools provided an update for the 2020-21 school year.
" I am able to report that our district’s broad planning measures to date have placed us on track to open schools in compliance with the provisions that the state plan sets forth", stated Schwarz after Governor Murphy released the school reopening plan. "Please know that our intention is to open schools for all students who are able to attend while providing virtual accommodations for any students and staff members with medical concerns".
Over the next several weeks, the district will engage students and their families. They will be invited to participate in a District Restart Committee and complete a survey regarding concerns and suggestions.
The district will publish their "Reopening Plan", which will include a variety of contingencies should state guidance change, stated Schwarz.
