MADISON, NJ - The Madison Downtown Development Commission is preparing for its 27th season of the Madison Farmers Market. All are invited to attend the annual ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, May 23 at 2:00pm.
The Market, located on Central Avenue between Main Street and Cook Avenue will run from Thursday, May 23 thru Thursday, October 24. Market hours will again be 2:00 – 7:00 pm. Drew University will again serve as the Market’s primary sponsor and this year Healthy Italia and Lakeland Bank will also serve as market sponsors.
The Market features approximately regular seasonal 25 vendors ranging from local farms to specialty food vendors. In addition, weekly pop-up vendors keep the selection fresh. Local non-profits are also scheduled to participate throughout the season. The Madison Area Chamber of Commerce will once again be offering showcase opportunities to Madison businesses on a weekly basis.
The Madison Farmers Market also features weekly live musical performances and features a children’s craft corner. The market has a very laid back community centered vibe. The DDC wants it to be a place where people can come together – shop, enjoy great local food and each other’s company.
