Local food lovers can still purchase tickets online for the 17th annual Taste of Madison, the Rose City’s yearly fundraiser and food extravaganza, which will take place on Monday from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at Brooklake Country Club, 139 Brooklake Road in Florham Park.

Chefs from at least 30 local restaurants will serve up samples of their finest cuisine throughout the evening, while longtime event sponsor Gary’s Wine & Marketplace provides some liquid sustenance with a variety of fine wine, beer and spirits.

Taste of Madison is a “must-attend party for food lovers and a celebration of the best of Madison,” said event organizers. “Always held in the first quarter of the year, the Taste of Madison was established in 2002 as a fun, town-wide fundraiser that is a cure for the winter blues.”

The event will feature a silent auction and tricky tray, which event organizers said “are among the best in northern New Jersey,” as well as a 50/50 raffle. Organizers will conduct the 50/50 raffle drawing the night of the event.

Monies collected will benefit several nonprofit, community-based initiatives, including a number of charitable causes, civic improvements and business development projects in Madison. To date, Taste of Madison has raised at least $500,000 and entertained more than 7,000 guests.

General admission tickets are $65 per person, with entry at 7 p.m. VIP admission is available for $100 per head and includes early entry at 6 p.m.

Tickets must be purchased in advance. All guests must be 21 or older to participate. Recommended attire is business casual, organizers said.

Tickets are also available for in-person purchase at Gary’s Wine & Marketplace, 121 Main St., and through members of the Taste of Madison Organizing Committee.

Businesses and friends of Madison also contribute each year through the donation of merchandise, services and experiences. To make a donation, contact Jim Hollenbach at JimHollenbach@gmail.com.

The Taste of Madison Organizing Committee is an all-volunteer, nonprofit partnership between the Madison Rotary Club, Madison Downtown Development Commission and Madison Area Chamber of Commerce.
