Every day, great things are happening in our neighborhood—at the Madison Area YMCA. The Y strengthens kids, teens, adults, seniors and families with programs that protect, teach, connect, heal, nourish and encourage.
Y member Silvia now swims with her family. That might not sound like big news—but it is. The wife and mother of two didn’t know how to swim and was afraid of the water. As a result, Silvia was determined to make sure that her daughters Lupe and Luci would learn how to swim. And they did. From the age of 4, both girls took swim lessons at the Madison Area YMCA when they were in preschool at the F.M. Kirby Children’s Center of the Madison Area Y.
The Madison Area YMCA offers opportunities for you to share your generosity before the year ends so that the Y can continue to help people do great things for themselves and their families. Your gift, no matter how large or small, makes all the difference to those who need the Y most. A $50 donation affords a six-month Y membership to a child who attends the F.M. Kirby Children’s Center. A $100 donation provides 10 weeks of the LIVESTRONGat the YMCA program to a cancer survivor. A $250 donation offers three months of Y membership for a 65+ couple. Two children could attend 10 weeks of ballet classes for a $500 donation. A $1,000 donation offers a gymnast the ability to join the Rosettes gymnastics team for six months. Please consider giving to the Madison Area YMCA’s Annual Fund. Visit https://www.madisonareaymca.org/giving/donatenowto donate today.
