MADISON, NJ - The Madison community has stepped up for so many, not only in this current health situation, but in all times. If you are looking to contribute again, there are 2 drives set up this weekend.

On Friday, May 1 the Madison Area YMCA is hosting a "Toiletries Drive". The drive will take place at 10am and items should be dropped off in bags or boxes at the YMCA Family Center at 111 Kings Road. Please leave the bags and boxes outside the entrance doors.

  • deodorant (for both men and women)
  • body wash
  • bar soap
  • toothpaste
  • shampoo
  • conditioner
  • razors/shaving cream (for both men and women)
  • hand cream
  • hand lotion
  • toilet paper 
  • paper towels
  • dish soap
  • dishwasher detergent/pods
  • laundry detergent
  • cleaning products (bathroom cleaner, multipurpose cleaners)

On Saturday May 2 the FLAG of Chatham/Madison is hosting a "Fill a Truck Food Drive". The collection will take place from 9am - 12noon at the Madison Train Station.

The organizers are looking to collect non-perishable items such as:

  • pasta 
  • pasta sauce
  • cereal
  • rice/almond milk
  • tuna fish
  • rice
  • canned meats
  • hamburger helper
  • peanut butter
  • hearty soups
  • baby formula
  • baby food
  • baby cereal
  • diapers (size 4,5,6)
  • hand sanitizer

Items should be bagged and be ready for drop off. Cars will line up and proceed through a drive through procession to drop off items.
