MADISON, NJ - Rocco's restaurant of Madison in conjunction with the Fairmount Deli of Chatham helped feed ninety (90) people across four departments at Morristown Medical Center this past weekend.
In addition, Chatham's Deborah Egan provided 100 makeup care packages to the nurses and doctors.
This new effort of organizing food deliveries has been spearheaded by a new Facebook group called FLAG (Front Line Appreciation Group) of Chatham and Madison. Residents of both towns are chipping in to help support the local businesses and the medical workers that are working hard to save people's lives.
The reaction from the CCU staff and other workers has been filled with gratitude and emotion.
Rocco's restaurant is no stranger to helping those in need. Back during Super Storm Sandy, they provided a mobile kitchen to feed people that were experiencing great hardship.
