On February 1,volunteers from the Madison Chatham Coalition (MCC), Municipal Alliance Committee of the Chathams (MACC), and other dedicated volunteers from a variety of community sectors such as Chatham Borough law enforcement and Chatham Borough government as well as Madison Chatham Coalition Teen Task Force members participated in a pre-Super Bowl Sticker Shock Campaign.

The campaign, designed to deter the sale of alcoholic beverages by adults to underage kids, reminds patrons to “keep it legal.” The campaign also intends to remind teens to make healthy choices, free from drugs and alcohol. The campaign was embraced by all four Chatham alcohol retailers. Bottle King, Cottage Deli and Wine, Hickory Wine Cellar and USA Wine Traders welcomed thegroup to paste bright green“keep it legal” stickers on cases of beer, ciders and coolers.

“MCC and MACC are thankful for the support from these local vendors,” said Madison Chatham Coalition Coordinator Allison Bardon.
