MADISON, NJ - Governor Murphy was in Madison today. He took an active role in the annual reorganization meeting of the Madison Borough Council, which took place in the Council Chamber of the Hartley Dodge Memorial Building.
The Governor was on hand to swear in Mayor Robert Conley as well as Councilwomen Maureen Byrne and Rachel Ehrlich.
Governor Murphy entered the Chamber with Assemblywoman Mila Jasey at his side and bagpipes leading the way.
A heartwarming tribute to outgoing Councilman Pat Rowe was given to him and his wife.
In addition to the swearing in of the 2020 Mayor and Council, appointments and re-appointments of Boards and Committees for 2020, adoption of resolutions to facilitate Borough business including awarding professional services contracts for 2020, also took place during the annual meeting,
