MADISON, NJ - Madison Mayor Bob Conley updated the Madison community on Tuesday March 31.

He began by stating that there are now 26 positive cases of COVID-19 in Madison. Although there is now a testing site in Morris County, up at CCM, the first call, should you be experiencing symptoms, should be to your doctor, he said.

"It was great to hear everyone make noise last night for our essential workers", Conley said. "We intend to continue this tradition, this Monday and every Monday at 7pm".

Last night, Madison held their first virtual council meeting on-line and Mayor Conley expects that the meetings in April and possibly May will also be online.

Conley warned residents about scams.

"Sadly, whenever there is a disaster, there are criminals ready to take advantage of the crisis for personal gain", said Mayor Conley. "Expect phone calls asking for personal information and emails with attachments".

"Never give your information or open an attachment that you weren't expecting, he said. When in doubt, reach out the police department".

Another update will be given by Mayor Conley on Friday, April 3.
