NEW JERSEY - The numbers of positive COVID-19 patients is staggering. According to government officials, there were 54,588 positive tests as of today, Friday April 10. 

There have been 1,932 deaths in New Jersey with 135 of them from Morris County. But Governor Murphy shared a little good news with residents today.

"For the 24-hour period ending at 10pm on Thursday night, a total of 682 patients were discharged", Governor Murphy said in a Facebook post. "Every recovery is a victory. We wish all of these New Jerseyans continued recovery and good health".

Residents are still advised to continue to stay at home, practice social distancing, wash hands, only go out for essential trips, and wear masks and gloves.

"This cannot be a weekend to think we can let our foot off the gas", Murphy said. "We have to keep with it, today, tomorrow, Sunday and every day until this war is won. And, win it, we will".
