MENDHAM, NJ - Mendham High School senior Nicholas Vitebsky's organization, STEAM Forward, is making waves in computer science and community service. Founded in 2017, the organization has since spread to impact thousands of disadvantaged students across the country.
The organization runs coding workshops to educate disadvantaged children in computer science. Vitebsky's new book, If Coding, Then Happy, is also distributed at the workshops (published on Amazon as well). In addition to their work in tech, STEAM Forward holds charity concerts frequently, with the most notable one being in the Barn at Highlands Ridge Park in Chester annually. They've been able to host many tech professionals and musicians thanks to their various corporate sponsors and charity concert donors.
The organization's goal is to educate as many kids as possible in technology and the arts. The mission statement and more are on the website, www.steamforwardinc.com.
