HOLMDEL, NJ - The Holmdel location for a FEMA Regional COVID-19 Virus Testing Site is closed again.
It was reported to close in a half hour.
Traffic surrounding the site is still heavy as of 9AM.
Make sure you verify whether it's open before going. That is likely tomorrow at this point. Unfortunately, very sick people are making a trek to Holmdel only to be turned away.
Assemblywoman DiMaso and Senator O'Scanlon lobbied for the Holmdel location. Other possible locations that have open parking lots for drive through testing are colleges, malls and rest areas on the parkway. Urgent care practices are also providing testing within certain strict guidelines.
Should you go to PNC Arts Center at all?
New discussion surrounds not being tested at all if symptoms are not significant. Driving concerns are also a factor if very sick people are driving. If healthy people are driving the very sick, community spread is a concern if the healthy driver becomes infected.
A great source for guidance is your own doctor and cdc.gov.
