MADISON, NJ - MADISON, NJ – A number of Madison High School fall sports teams opened up on  Thursday, Oct. 1. Let’s take a look at how some of the teams did in the start of the shortened season.

Boys Soccer- The Dodgers began the year with a 3-2 overtime victory at Morris Catholic on Thursday. Each team netted a pair of goals in the first half, and then Madison struck in overtime.

Girls Soccer - Madison opened the season with a 1-1 draw against Morris Catholic Thursday. Each team put in a goal in the first half. Morris Catholic edged the Dodgers in shots on goal, 9-8. Kiley Selquist netted a goal for Madison, and Mikayla Newell scored for Morris Catholic. Dodger goalie Tess Callaghan made five saves in net.

Cross Country - The Madison girls defeated Morris Catholic 23-30 and Morristown-Beard by 15. The Dodger boys defeated Morris Catholic 27-30 and Morristown Beard 15-50.
