MADISON – The Madison High School boys soccer, girls soccer, cross country, girls tennis and girls volleyball teams were in action on Tuesday, Sept. 24.

Boys Soccer - Madison (4-3) put in two first-half goals en route to a 3-0 shutout of Whippany Park on Tuesday. Madison had 15 shots on goal to Whippany Park’s seven and Brendan Ocampo, Juan Angel and Matthias Hendrickson put in goals for the Dodgers. Angel had an assist. Madison is back in action against Kinnelon on Thursday.

Girls Soccer - Madison (3-3-1) lost to Kinnelon, 4-3, on Tuesday. The Dodgers led 2-1 at halftime before a 3-2 Kinnelon advantage in the second half.Sadie Kim put in two goals for the Dodgers, while Nikki Cilenti added one. Brooke Kleiven had an assist. Kallie Downey led Kinnelon with two goals. Madison is back in action on Thursday against Morris Catholic.

Girls Tennis - Madison (1-6) lost a 3-2 match to Kinnelon on Tuesday. The Dodgers picked up the sweep at doubles. At first doubles, the duo of Marina Gobbi and Allison O’Keeffe won 6- 3, 6-1, while the second doubles pair of Shea Baggett and Emma Jasen prevailed, 6-4, 6- 4.

Girls Volleyball - Madison (6-5) defeated Morris Catholic, 25-22, 25-14 on Tuesday. Amelia Kennedy and Nia Kostidikas each had seven kills for the Dodgers. Kostidikas had 11 digs and Kennedy had nine. Helen Simmons finished with 23 assists and six digs, Chase Lucas added four digs and two aces and Megan Tierney totaled five kills.

Cross Country - The Madison girls team completed the NJAC dual meet season with a 21-40 win over Whippany Park and a 21-38 victory over Parsippany. The team had a 4-1 conference record. The boys defeated Whippany Park 25-30 to finish the NJAC season with a 3-1 record.
