MADISON – The Madison High School field hockey and girls volleyball teams were in action on Wednesday, Sept. 18.

Field Hockey - The Dodgers, after a 5-0 start, dropped their first game of the season in a 3-2 home loss to Bernards. Mary Ragold and Mollie Sullivan put in goals for Madison and Tori Brosie and Chase Cmaylo had assists. Goalie Charlotte Villano made five saves for the Dodgers. Anna Gonella, Tori Baker and Lilly Hengerer scored for the Mountaineers. Bernards had an 8-5 edge in shots on goal.

Madison will look to get back on track against Mendham at home Saturday morning at 9.

Girls Volleyball - Madison defeated Vernon, 25-10, 25-10, on Wednesday. The Dodgers’ Morgan Tierney had eight kills, Amelia Kennedy finished with eight digs, Nia Kostidikas totaled six kills, Courtney Leu had four digs and Helen Simmons finished with 20 assists and had 15 service points.

Madison plays Kinnelon on Friday at home at 5:30 p.m.
