BERNARDS TWP., NJ — The Friends of Lord Stirling Stable are again inviting dogs - and their owners, or other human friends - to enjoy a brisk New Year's Day outdoor walk at their annual “Meet New Friends” Dog Walk on Wednesday, January 1, 2020.  

Check in time for this special event at Lord Stirling Stable, 256 S. Maple Ave. in Basking Ridge, will be between 1:15 to 1:30 p.m. The hour-long walk on the property are set to begin at 1:30 p.m. 

The New Year’s Dog Walk will provide owners and pets an opportunity to enjoy some holiday cheer, and walk off some of their previous holiday celebrating on a tour of the beautiful trails through woods and fields at the Somerset County Park Commission's equestrian facility.

The Friends will gladly accept an unopened dry or canned puppy/dog or kitten/cat food for donation to the Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter when you check in.

All pets must be leashed.

Start the year off right with old friends, new friends, and your best canine friends. Registration is $3 per dog and all pets must be leashed and kept under control at all times.  Humans are invited to participate free of charge.

To continue the enjoyment, dog owners are invited to the weekly Saturday morning dog walks on the LSS trails that take place all year long.

Regularly scheduled Saturday Dog Walks will continue on January 4, with check in time between 10:15 to 10:30 a.m., and the walk from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m..
