To the editor,

The intersection of Wood Street and Bryant Pond (Secor) roads just off the Taconic is an accident waiting to happen. The four-way stop sign doesn’t do the job and may actually add to the confusion. A proper traffic light is needed. However, am I being cynical to note that the intersection is just inside the Putnam Valley border with Mahopac (Carmel) and the cost of a light would be born by Put valley? Whereas aside from a few P V residents going to the Secor Deli or for a pizza on Secor road, almost all the traffic at that intersection is heading to homes in Mahopac.
