As the trials of Speaker Sheldon Silver and Dean Skelos begin, I believe that New York voters be given the option of voting to amend the New York State Constitution on term limits for both the governor, as well as the members of the State Assembly and Senate.

The term limits should allow any governor to serve only two consecutive terms and the members of the Assembly and Senate to two four-year terms.

These politicians who get elected to Albany think that once they get elected, they have these jobs for life.
