Mahopac senior Caroline Raymond plays attack on the varsity girls lacrosse team. She also was on the soccer team. Raymond is committed to play lacrosse at West Point.
How old were you when you started playing lacrosse and how did you get started?
I was 10 when I first started playing lacrosse. My sister Anna was playing at the time and she wanted me to try it out.
As a senior on the team, how much do you value being a leader?
I think being a leader is extremely important. The seniors before me helped me to be where I am today so I think it’s important to set examples for the younger girls and give them someone to look up to.
What do you think are your strengths as a lacrosse player?
I think my speed and my shot are the biggest strengths. I wouldn’t be as fast or strong as I am today without my coaches at Massi-Machado Strength and Conditioning.
