MAHOPAC, N.Y.— The schedule has consisted of one powerhouse after the next for Mahopac’s varsity field hockey team this fall.

Mahopac suffered a pair of losses last week to seven-time defending Class B state champion Lakeland and last year’s Class A section finalist Horace Greeley.

The Indians began the week with a 3-0 road loss to Greeley on Sept. 27.

They followed that up with a 4-0 win over visiting Ossining on Sept. 29 in a game where they took a 3-0 lead into halftime.

Kim Brower netted two goals in the first half, while Kim Schiera dished out two assists. Dom Milian added a goal to help the Indians acquire their lead.

Amanda Spano netted a second-half goal on a feed from Brower.

Ossining didn’t record a shot on goal in a game where Gianna Brigante and Shannon Barry split time in net for the Indians (5-6).

Mahopac hosted Lakeland and fell 9-0 on Oct. 1.

The Indians travel to John Jay-East Fishkill on Oct. 5.
