MAHOPAC, N.Y. - The annual Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department Carnival kicked off with its parade Thursday evening (July 6). The carnival continues this weekend, July 13, 14, and 15 with lots of rides, midway games and yummy carnival food, including their world-famous sausage and pepper wedges, which you can top off with some deep-fried Oreos. While there, stop by and pick up some raffle tickets for a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk. Tickets can be purchased from any department member, at businesses through town and, of course, at the carnival. Credit cards are accepted for ride tickets and an ATM is available on the carnival grounds.
