MAHOPAC, N.Y. - The weather cooperated and the 42nd Northern Westchester-Putnam St. Patrick’s Day Parade went off without a hitch Sunday, March 11, along Route 6 in Mahopac. The sun shone down on the large crowd that had gathered along the avenue for some “wearin’ of the green.” The parade, the third largest of its kind in New York State, featured bagpipers, marching bands, Boy and Girl Scouts, local civic organizations, veterans and elected officials. The parade was led this year by Grand Marshal MaryEllen Odell, Putnam County executive.
