Domestic Violence Awareness Month - Wear Purple Day Oct. 19

Putnam/Northern Westchester Women's Resource Center (WRC) joins the New York State Office for Prevention of Domestic Violence (OPDV) in a statewide campaign to raise awareness of the issues surrounding domestic violence by embracing the color PURPLE during the month of October - the symbolic hue for domestic violence awareness.

Shine the Light Campaign

This year marks the tenth anniversary of the Shine the Light campaign, and we hope you will help us make it the brightest year ever! Wear Purple throughout the month of October but especially on Thursday, October 19th, National Domestic Violence Awareness Day.

The Putnam/Northern Westchester Women's Resource Center is a not-for-profit organization established to provide advocacy, education and services to the community in order to create a safe, supportive environment that eliminates violence against women and promotes gender equality.
