Indians Spike Harrison in Opener

MAHOPAC, N.Y.— Mahopac’s volleyball team swept visiting Harrison 25-22, 25-19, 25-20, in its season opener on Wednesday, Sept. 6.

Junior Carah Vitkus had nine kills, three aces and 10 digs to lead the way. Senior Julia Dodd added eight kills and 10 digs. Fellow senior Claire Felix had six kills, four aces, and seven digs.

Senior Ashley Hickey had two aces and eight digs. Sophomore Bella Marinelli had a big day at the net, blocking five shots. Junior Francesca Cammarata dished out 11 assists.

Mahopac hosted Scarsdale on Sept. 13 and is scheduled to travel to Fox Lane for a 4:30 p.m. game on Sept. 15.
