Adam Fetzer, boys coach, said his runners have made great strides.

“The hard work they have put in this season is starting to pay off with great performances and [personal records] in each meet this season,” Fetzer said.

On the girls side, Mahopac was led by Emily Pontillo who had a personal best time on the course—a more than 2-minute improvement over last year. Senior Sophia DeFrancesco also had a strong race, finishing second for the Indians.

“One of our girls was sick and was unable to race the week, so we are excited to put five on the line for the Brewster invitational this weekend so that the team can score,” said Kelly Posch, the girls coach. “While we have a small team, it is definitely a hard-working team and we are excited to see them continue to improve over the season.”
