SOUTH ORANGE, NJ – The community is invited to attend Seton Hall University’s 19th annual Women’s Conference from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, March 22 in the Main Lounge of the University Center.
This year’s theme is “Women Inspiring Innovation through Imagination.” According to the organizers, the theme was chosen to acknowledge struggles and accomplishments of women in science, technology, engineering and math.
The conference is open to all members of the University Community. There will be a breakfast, followed by a panel of speakers addressing the conference theme, two workshop sessions and a service project/reflection segment with a light snack.
“Though March is Women's History Month, all will be able to benefit from the panelists who will be sharing varied lessons,” said Angela Yee, a Seton Hall University student who is assisting with the conference.
During the conference two awards will be given. One is a student award given to an undergraduate or graduate student who has shown leadership, commitment and dedication in the community. The other is a Woman of the Year award, which will be given to a faculty member or administrator who has made contributions and helped to empower women throughout the Seton Hall community.
General registration for the day is $30. For additional information about the conference please contact Rosario Reyes at Rosario.firstname.lastname@example.org.
