The Durand-Hedden House, Maplewood's historical society, would like to thank all the community residents and visitors who donated shoes to their recent Soles4Souls Shoe Drive. On Jan. 27 author Rachelle Bergstein spoke at Duran-Hedden about her book, "Women from the Ankle Down: The Story of Shoes and How They Define Us." There was an excellent turn-out for the event, which also yielded a generous collection of 98 pairs of shoes for the international Soles4Souls shoe charity. The smallest pair was a babt's size 6 and the largest pair was a man's size 15. The Durand-Hedden House is located at 523 Ridgewoood Road in Maplewood. Call 973-763-7712 for more information.
