Summit moms now have a new place to meet, talk and share with the launch this week of Summit Mommies 24/7. The social networking site is the second in the Mommies 24/7 family, which already has 3,000 members in Hoboken.
Mommies 24/7 publishes original content and tailors social networking for moms who want to find more information on parenting and local news and events. Moms can create free profiles, meet and share tips whether they're raising teenagers, toddlers or anything in between. Expecting moms and couples planning to start a family will find plenty too.
The owner and editor of the Summit Mommies site, Stacey Chaleff, first joined Mommies 24/7 while living in Hoboken. She thought it would be a perfect fit for both Summit and herself.
“As a new parent, it can be hard to meet other moms and share information, but Mommies 24/7 makes it a lot easier,” she said. “We're going to make sure moms find everything they're looking for and more!”
Chaleff worked as a registered dental hygienist before taking time off to raise her 11-month-old son Cole with her husband Glenn. She said running the Summit Mommies site is the perfect way to balance family and career.
"Mommies 24/7 gives me the opportunity for a career centered on being a mom, which I love,” she said. “I know as Cole grows so will the site.”
Chaleff will breathe life into the online community by hosting regular and special events, such as playdates, family parties and happy hours for moms on their night out. She has already invited early subscribers to a launch party at a private residence on December 14. Chef Natalie Lewis will serve hors d'oeuvres and a special guest mixologist will pour celebratory cocktails.
