Supermodel Emme will participate in the second annual Memories Ride to benefit non-profit, Memories Live (www.memorieslive.org). The fundraiser will take place on Sunday, January 13, 2013 from 11:30 AM - 1 PM at Flywheel Sports in Millburn NJ.

Emme heard about the work of Memories Live from a friend whose mother passed away from cancer.  She was touched to hear how grateful the friend was to have a Memories Live movie of her mother showing her hopes and dreams for family.

“I wish Memories Live has been around before my Mom passed away to share with my daughter,” said Emme. “I think it's a great service to give families for decades of enjoyment.”  Emme’s mother passed away at 39 years old of cancer when she was 16 years old.

The mission of Memories Live is to help people with life-limiting illnesses preserve their images, stories and wisdom by creating personalized movies to pass on to their loved ones.

The movies are compilations of interviews, photos, and other important content. They are intended to preserve the memories of the terminally ill forever. Memories Live is a free service for the families of the patients (Memories Live is supported by donations).  The proceeds from the event will go directly to creating these movies.

Last year Memories Ride raised close to $20,000. Memories Live is hoping to surpass that amount to reach $30,000 so the organization can create lasting memories for those left behind.

Space is limited to 45 riders and riders must pre-register to participate. All participants will receive a goody bag and be entered into a free raffle that includes prizes from local business. To register and start fundraising go to http://memoriesride.memorieslive.org/
