Two incumbents are returning to the South Orange and Maplewood Board of Education, along with a newcomer, in elections held Wednesday.
Andrea Wren-Hardin and Sandra Karriem, both current members of the Board, won reelection, while newcomer Bill Gaudelli was elected to the Board, according to unofficial results released Wednesday night on the South Orange and Maplewood School District website.
The unofficial results reveal that Wren-Hardin won the most votes, with 1,817, followed by Gaudelli in a close second with 1,816. Karriem won 1,733 votes.
Five candidates ran for three seats. The two candidates who did not win seats were Marian Cutler, who received 1,121 votes, and James Lo Stuto, who received 956 votes.
