MIDDLETOWN, NJ: You can give back to your local community and serve on the largest volunteer fire company in the world! Middletown Township Fire Department is made up of eleven individual Fire Companies, and together they:

  • Serve & protect the Township’s 42 square miles, 12 zip codes, 19 miles of coastline, 68,000 residents, 21 schools & 1,100+ businesses (including Brookdale Community College & multiple day care & senior living facilities).
  • Respond to an average of 1,250 emergency calls per year!
  • In addition to Fire response, they answer the call for chemical/environmental hazards, trapped or injured persons in buildings, trenches, floods, trees, the ocean/bay/lakes & more!

Volunteer firefighting is a very rewarding and valuable way to serve your community. It takes dedication and many hours of training to become a firefighter.
