RED BANK, NJ: What is a regular occurrence in Holmdel, on Laurel Avenue, also seems to happen on a regular basis in Red Bank...
A Bekins Moving truck hit the railroad bridge going westbound on Front Street at approximately 3:45pm today.
It peeled the roof back like a sardine can, stopping on the west side of the bridge.
Red Bank Police were on the scene and not allowing through-traffic to the Middletown side.
The two drivers who did not wish to comment, said they called their boss who was, of course, unhappy.
An unidentified police officer said there would be several citations issued.
Jonathan Ortega of Central Towing said, “We’re going to bring in our larger tow truck, clean up this mess as fast as we can in the safest way and probably tow it up to the old Chris’ Deli, strap it down and get it on the larger truck.”
