MIDDLETOWN, NJ: The Middletown Arts Center - known as the MAC is the perfect community venue to host highlights from local film festivals! Attention art entrepreneurs, nonprofit arts organizations, creative businesses, and all those interested in how the arts contribute to the community: you are invited to join Monmouth Arts, the official arts agency of Monmouth County, at their 2020 Annual Meeting, followed by a special arts event, on Wednesday, January 15th, 6:00 to 8:00pm, at the Middletown Arts Center, located near the train station with plenty of parking across the street. The MAC is located at 36 Church Street, Middletown.

The evening will include a free showcase of Monmouth Arts' programs and services with a focus on “The Art & Power of Film." This will spotlight some of Monmouth County’s local film festivals and New Jersey’s booming film industry. Afterall, the American Film Industry began in New Jersey!

The participating organizations, all of which are members of Monmouth Arts, include the Garden State Film Festival, FilmOneFest, the Annual Women’s History Month Film Festival, and the Indie Street Film Festival. Each film festival has chosen one of their award-winning shorts to be included as a part of the event. Each member group of Monmouth Arts should send a representative of the organization to the meeting, as the evening will culminate with the election of officers for the 2020 Board of Trustees.
