RED BANK, NJ – Red Bank Regional (RBR) High School will present its Winter Dance Showcase TONIGHT, Friday, January 11, 2019, at 7:00 pm.
The RBR Visual & Performing Arts Academy (VPA) is one of the finest in the country whose mission, “…is to provide a four-year career focused learning experience for serious emerging artists who possess proven advanced aptitude and passion for the visual and performing arts...”
These young students are the best and will be performing a variety of contemporary, ballet, hip hop, jazz and modern dance numbers in the newly dedicated Joseph A. Russo III Theater.
Several numbers were choreographed from the students, their teacher, Cara Scacco, as well as RBR Alum and NFL Cheerleader, Gabriella Redaelli who designed a sharp and fun group jazz number for the Junior and Senior classes.
“The fast-paced tempo was challenging but it gave us insight into one exciting aspect of professional dancing," said the dancers.”
Other choreographers were Kiana Rosa-Fischer who holds a B.F.A. in Dance from Mason Gross School of the Arts, and Anthony Giorgio who has worked with musical theater works all around the world.
Clara Bernardinello, a senior dance major from Bradley Beach, reflects on her experience as a four-year dance major stating, “The RBR Dance Department has given me the opportunity to make my best friends. It has sculpted me into a better person and prepared me for college. I will miss working together with my peers.”
Tickets are $10 for adults and children over 12 and $5 for senior citizens/non-RBR students and children. RBR students and faculty attend free.
