RED BANK, NJ – Red Bank Police Patrolman Stan Balmer along with his partner K9 “Hunter,” presented an exciting show to the residents of The Wesleyan, a United Methodist Communities senior citizens facility.

Balmer was joined by his fellow officers, Patrolmen Jorge Torres and Cevin Albert, who agreed to act as the “bad guys” for demonstrated takedown.

The audience was thoroughly engaged asking many questions as Balmer gave a detailed talk, including how K9 Hunter, a Belgian Malinois, saved his life in several situations.

Remarks from the Wesleyan staff included; Gertrude Kehleay, Housing Administrator, “They all really had a good time, especially when the policeman gave a command and the K9 obeyed every order, plus, Ptl. Balmer was very happy to answer their questions.”  Pamela Joyce, Social Service Coordinator, said, “Many of our residents love dogs and were very excited for the K9 police to come and they all loved the presentation.”  “Animals bring people out of their apartments and they really enjoyed the demonstration and were very grateful to the Red Bank Police Department,” said Linda Masi, Community Life Associate.
