In the last 24 hours in NJ, 94 new deaths have been reported, bringing the total loss of life to 2,443.

(Monmouth County alone has had 3,875 positive test results and 127 deaths.)

Governor Murphy shared the perspective by sharing that this new total figure eclipses the total loss of life in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars combined.

"There is enormous amount of discussion about when we will peak. When can we open up our economy? When can we open up our society?" Said the Governor. "Our job right now...is to put the fire out in the house, and we are still not there yet. While the curve fits into the amount of positive cases is flattening...it is still rising...these cases are still rising."
