TRENTON, NJ - A somber moment transcended the daily press conference in New Jersey on Saturday, April 4.

The Governor of New Jersey provided stark numbers reflecting a tragic milestone during the pandemic.

New Jersey has now lost more lives to the pandemic then were lost during the horrific attacks of 9/11.

“This pandemic is writing one of the greatest tragedies in the state’s history," Murphy said. "Just as we have committed to never forgetting those we lost on 9/11, we will commit to never forget those we lost to this pandemic.” 

Overnight, the new total is 846 lives lost. 34,124 are now infected. New testing overnight increased positive totals by 4,331
