His public school resume is quite long and includes a number of diverse roles:
- Interim Superintendent of Schools - Pequannock School District, New Jersey
- Superintendent of Schools - Parsippany-Troy Hills School District
- Interim Superintendent of Schools - Franklin Township
- Superintendent - Hudson Regional High School District
- Adjunct professor at College of St. Elizabeth
Seitz was approved to begin his work in Holmdel as a consultant in a unanimous vote. The actual terms were not yet disclosed. Transitions typically include consultants or interim Superintendents on the pathway to a permanent replacement.
Current Superintendent, Dr. Robert McGarry, submitted his resignation to work in Scotch Plains-Fanwood Schools as Assistant Superintendent. His upcoming vacancy created a potential void. Based on Wednesday's vote, a smooth transition appears certain.
With extensive summer planning and preparation required for a safe and successful reopening for this top rated school district in September, the timing can make a world of difference.
