RED BANK, NJ: It has sold out for the last 3 years, so don’t let your kids/grandkids get left behind.
The Navesink Maritime Heritage Association (NMHA) has opened up their River Rangers program that put kids on colorful 15-foot wooden canoes for five mornings of exploring the Navesink and Swimming Rivers.
The canoes allow for social distancing and a chance to get the youngsters outdoors for a healthy open-air adventure in July or August.
The benefits? These young River Rangers learn boating and teamwork skills, gain new friends, and obtain an understanding of the local marine environment - all while having a blast!
NMHA's successful 2020 COVID-19 protocols will be followed in 2021: temperature taken at the start of each day, face coverings on land, and social distancing.

Cost: $255 per child per week and includes canoe, paddle, life vest, and a commemorative T-shirt. Participants must be able to swim.
