Today, Monday, April 6th, is Matching Monday for FLAG- Front Line Appreciation Group-Holmdel/Middletown! Donate at:  VENMO: @FLAG-HolmdelMiddletown and your donation will be matched 100% by HFCF.

It is in times like this that we feel the real community spirit we are blessed with in the towns we live in. During this unprecedented time battling COVID-19 in different ways in our own lives, and feeling for those on the front lines, we can sometimes feel helpless to do our part.

With FLAG, it's very easy for everyone to make a significant impact: Make one donation, HFCF (formerly Hope for Children Foundation) matches that amount. Every penny of your doubled donation goes directly to help two ways: FLAG is supporting local restaurants by purchasing meals from them and delivering those meals directly to Front Line Workers, many who are working 12 hours shifts! Boom! Your one donation was doubled and every penny goes to help two ways: local restaurants and local frontline workers.

FLAG Founder Linda Lautenberg comments, "We are so pleased that HFCF has partnered with us for Matching Monday. Please share with your networks. Let’s make a big push to do something good today for our community. Front line workers are falling ill and restaurants we love are closing. They all deserve our support. Thank you to everyone for your generosity thus far!" FLAG was officially launched on March 28th and already has raised over $15,000 and has delivered hundreds of meals purchased at local restaurants. Check out all the giving photos on FLAG's Facebook:  Front Line Appreciation Group Team Leader for FLAG, Margo Vallone comments, "It truly is rewarding to be able to give back to those working on the front lines every day for all of us. FLAG is such a great vehicle for making a positive difference locally. Today more than ever for Matching Monday, your donation can make double the impact."

Donate today Monday, April 6th, and HFCF will match 100% of your donation:  VENMO: @FLAG-HolmdelMiddletown

Founders of HFCF: Eric Hinds, Marybeth Walz Pritzlaff and Steve Coltrain specifically chose FLAG as their giving partner to support local frontline workers and businesses.  CoFounder HFCF, Marybeth Walz Pritzlaff comments, "The mission of FLAG is directly in line with our foundation's. HFCF has been helping families and organizations in Monmouth County the last 17 years, making an impact where needed the most. That is what FLAG is doing right now, every day during this pandemic, and we fully support their mission."

Over the last 17 years, HFCF has donated over $3 million to those in most need in Monmouth County. HFCF Co-founder and President Eric Hinds comments, "HFCF has been purchasing gift cards from local restaurants affected by this pandemic and delivering them to local families in need for the last few weeks, what FLAG is doing is totally in-line with our mission to help local business owners, and at the same time help our first responders and frontline health workers. The passion that FLAG is putting into their mission and the broad swath they are helping is making a huge impact locally, and we are very proud to support them ."

ABOUT FLAG Holmdel/Middletown:  (Front Line Appreciation Group) was started by community leader Linda Lautenberg of Holmdel. FLAG is a group that's dedicated to provide nourishing meals for front line health care workers and first responders, during the coronavirus pandemic while also assisting in keeping our local restaurants in business. FLAG, with Holmdel's Margo Vallone's team leadership is also involved in making prevention masks and distributing them to organizations and individual families who need them.  FLAG has provided hundreds of masks locally. If anyone would like to volunteer to sew basic protective masks (not the N95's), you can email Margo at Check out FLAG on Facebook, and join the movement to help the front lines in your community. Donate at:  VENMO: @FLAG-HolmdelMiddletown If you would like to volunteer contact Linda Lautenberg at
