MIDDLETOWN, NJ - Middletown Township released a host of upcoming infrastructure plans including paving and drainage throughout the town. Here are the details:
Tree Trimming on Oak Hill Road, Monday 8/5
JCP&L will be performing tree trimming in the area of Oak Hill Road and Normandy Road on Monday, August 5th from 8AM to 3PM. Expect delays and plan alternate routes.
Old Country Road Closed to Traffic on Tuesday, 8/6 and Wednesday, 8/7 for Milling and Paving
Old Country Road will be closed on Tuesday, August 6th and Wednesday, August 7th for milling and paving the entire roadway from Hwy 35 to Harmony Road, weather-permitting. Detours will be posted. No thru traffic. Please seek alternate routes and expect delays.
Palmer Avenue Closed for Road and Drainage Improvements
Palmer Avenue (County Road 7) is closed at Middlewood Road for road and drainage improvements. No thru traffic. Detours will be in place. If you would like an update on the detour, please call the County at 732-431-7760.
Monmouth & Navesink Avenue Road Closure Update
Gray Supply has been working in the area of Monmouth Avenue and Navesink Avenue replacing gas lines. They are anticipating the work will be completed this month. While they are working roads will be intermittently closed in the area and detours will be in place.
Route 35 Construction Project
Construction work on Route 35 began Monday, May 6th northbound from Cooper’s Bridge (Red Bank) to Cherry Tree Farm Road and southbound from Cherry Tree Farm Road to New Monmouth Road.
Road work will be done with temporary lane closures from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM and from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM. All work is weather-dependent.
The project, which consists of repairs and replacement of concrete vertical curb, installation of public curb ramps, repairs to drainage structures and resurfacing of the roadway, is estimated to be completed by December 2019.
