MIDDLETOWN, NJ - Earth Day 2021 is Thursday and April is Earth Month across the globe. Here in New Jersey, many towns are celebrating Earth Month and Middletown is no exception. Home to beautiful parks and open space, Mayor Tony Perry extended his Happy Earth Month greetings with some local information in a video you can watch here:

Said Perry, "Back in 1970, 20 million Americans gathered together to talk about the things harming our environment and to bring awareness to that."

"Here in Middletown we are doing all we can to ensure that future generations of Middletown residents get to see this beautiful landscape and all of our parks across town. You have the opportunity to take part in this important initiative by adopting a garden here in town, helping remove litter from a piece of property or cleaning up plastic toys that are then donated to kids in need rather than sitting in landfills.  You can help take part by visiting MiddletownNJ.org/earthmonth for more information."
