It's a Farm to Table Bowl! On Monday, July 29th, In support of Grown in Monmouth's Restaurant Week, (July 28-August 4th), Frutta Bowls of Colts Neck sourcing locally grown ingrediants from Oasis Farms of Morganville, will be offering Farm to Table Bowls! Stop by Monday, July 29th, at 10:00 a.m. at Frutta Bowls Colts Neck, in the Orchards Plaza, 340 NJ Route 34. Oasis Farms is supplying Jersey grown delicious fresh Kale for Frutta Bowls to blend and feature as the base for their famous Kale Bowls. Now that's fresh!

Oais Backyard Farms of Morganville designs, installs and maintains organic residential vegetable gardens in Monmouth County. Owner Dave comments,  "We strive to give homeowners an opportunity to enjoy an organic vegetable garden without all of the work. Each garden is a custom design that is best suited for the client's space. We grow vegetables and herbs for restaurants and will be bringing our fresh kale to Frutta Bowls in support of the Grown in Monmouth Initiative and Restaurant Week. So what is Grown in Monmouth? It's a program of the Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders designed to help retain and grow Monmuoth County’s agriculture industry. Grown in Monmouth identifies new markets, connects growers with consumers and develops a preference for Monmouth grown products, and provides business skills assistance to our agricultural community. 

The Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders invites residents and visitors to support the County's local farmers and businesses by attending the first annual Grown in Monmouth Restaurant Week, which runs from Sunday, July 28th to Sunday, August 4th.

"The working relationship between restaurants and local growers is so vital to the overall economic climate of the County," said Freeholder Director Thomas A. Arnone, liaison to the Division of Economic Development. "The 46 restaurants already signed up are from all different regions of the County and will offer an array of delicious dishes that feature ingredients that are grown in Monmouth County."

Restaurants participating in the "Grown in Monmouth" Restaurant Week will feature at least one dish that is made with ingredients that have been grown in Monmouth County.  All participating restaurants are featured on the Grown in Monmouth online directory, with new ones added almost daily. This  online directory not only features restaurants, but also includes farmers markets, breweries and wineries, community supported agriculture and gardens, produce distributors and more.
