Suspect admits crime in note to parents prior to Suicide, according to Prosecutor.
MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ - The tragic story of a beloved missing woman has come to a new chapter as confirmation has come in that a body found on Sunday is the woman searched for by hundreds.
A statement by the Monmouth County Prosecutors Office was released Monday morning:
"It is with great sadness we announce that Stephanie Parze's remains were recovered yesterday near Route 9 in Old Bridge. The Middlesex County ME confirmed her identify this morning. Our Office will hold a brief press conference later today regarding this matter. We wish to extend our thanks to our partners the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office and the Old Bridge Township Police Department for their work on this investigation. We also want to thank the public for your remarkable efforts in trying to find Stephanie for the past few months. May God bless Stephanie and her family during this terribly difficult time."
A press conference was held at 11:30 A.M. Her family was present.
Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni joined the family, who expressed thanks to the community for the support and working to find their daughter since Parze disappeared in October.
Her father Ed Parze said, "This is an extremely somber day for us. Our lives are never going to be the same. Stephanie is home - she’s coming home, at last, where she belongs.”
