MIDDLETOWN, NJ: It was a true community event as Middletown came out in full force on a clear, sunny day to honor our veterans at the 62nd Annual Veterans Day Parade held by VFW Post 2179 and Middletown Township on Sunday, November 3rd.

Members of the Police, Fire and Emergency Services, along with neighbors and friends, lined the streets while high school bands, Scout troops from across town were on hand to honor and thank our country's service members.

The Middletown Township Committee, including Mayor Tony Perry, Deputy Mayor Tony Fiore and Committee members Rick Hibell, Kevin Settembrino and Pat Snell also marched in the parade and socialized with residents along the route.

Following the parade, everyone was welcomed to a "Middletown Supports its Veterans" lunch at VFW Post 2179. Residents enjoyed interacting with the veterans at the display tables and writing encouraging notes on the "Message to a Veteran" graffiti wall.

Congratulations to everyone involved in this wonderful tribute to our deserving veterans.

THANK YOU TO ALL OF OUR VETERANS!
