A word from owner of HomeTown News, publishing TAPinto Holmdel, Colts Neck and Middletown, Jeanne Wall: Do you block the video on your Zoom and HouseParty meetings during this time of social distancing? I know I do half the time, as well as hit the mute button in between my kids shrieking... When I received this message below in my inbox I was intrigued. I love to evolve and learn new things and I wanted to share this learning opportunity in my Business section. I also think it's a great fit for my Mindfulness section. So, here goes... A message from Judy and Linda at EVOLVE:

Dressing the part
It’s the season of renewal -- and we are creating the joy we all need now in big and small ways!  Hope you had a relaxing and uplifting weekend.

Last week, as we prepared to celebrate Passover and Easter with our families, one question that came up was: should we dress up?  After contemplating, we decided - absolutely! Although we were celebrating at home, dressing for the part made us feel more engaged in the moment.

Bye bye cozy sweatshirt (for Zoom!
The same goes for how we show up professionally online. Now, in week five of sheltering in place, on some days we’ve admittedly been a little too comfortable in our cozy sweatshirt!  How does what you wear when working from home affect your mindset and mood? Are you presenting your best professional self on your Zoom meetings?

Tune in! on Thursday, April 16th for the next installment of Evolve’s Midday Momentum series: From Pajamas to Productive: Present Your Best Self While Working From Home.  We’re featuring the lovely Tania Sterl, founder of Sterl on Style, who will share her expert tips on how to dress with intention during these challenging times. We’re excited to bring you an interactive session with time for Q & A and plenty of small group conversation!

Tania is a fashion expert, personal stylist, speaker and published writer whose mission is to elevate women’s influence. She’ll share advice on choosing clothing and colors that will boost your mood, create a productive mindset, and present yourself online in order to convey trust, build your audience, and attract ideal clients and opportunities. We’ll also cover how to present as yourself for virtual interviews.
