HOLMDEL, NJ —Holmdel Police reported that on Thursday, February 6, at 11:37 AM, Ptl. Corrigan and Ptl. Ruane conducted a motor vehicle stop on Laurel Avenue near Evergreen Ridge.
After a further investigation by the officers, the driver, Joel Gauthier of Asbury Park, and passenger, Andrew Miller of West Long Branch, were arrested for possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia. It was later found that Gauthier was wanted by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, County of Hampden for the distribution of narcotics.
Andrew Miller was released pending a court date. Joel Guathier was lodged at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution for his charges and as a Fugutive from Justice pending an extradition hearing.
Ptl. Corrigan and Ptl. Ruane were assisted at the scene by Ptl. Van Pelt and Middletown Police K-9 Officer Greenwood and his partner Koda.
