Mary Silengo's family highlights mental illness and breast cancer awareness in Mary Silengo's obituary

MIDDLETOWN, NJ - It's a sad day Middletown as officials confirm that Mary Silengo passed away. She was found in the waters of Shadow Lake on Thursday. A marine unit was called on Thursday morning to Shadow Lake in Middletown, to investigate a body floating in the reservoir. The body was suspected to be then missing woman Mary Silengo, age 62. She was missing from the area since September 22. There had been a search for Silengo, who disappeared without taking her cell phone or medication she needs to take regularly. Her family and the community had been searching and hoping to find Silengo and bring her safely home.

A bevy of resources sprang into action to try to do their best to locate Silengo, including divers, drones, a helicopter and tracking dogs. Sadly, according to police, a couple of fishermen "observed a body floating near the water's edge on the south side of the lake."
