MIDDLETOWN, NJ: Skylar Shafritz (Middletown South High School) was a freshman who competed in multiple events for the Gettysburg College (Pennsylvania) women’s swimming program. Shafritz, listed as an Economics major had her team’s second best time all season in both the 50 backstroke (27.99) and 100 backstroke (59.38), both at the Centennial Conference Championships held in Gettysburg.
She also had her team’s fourth best times all season in the 100 and 200 individual medley. She had the fifth top time for Gettysburg in the 50, 100 and 200 breaststroke.
The Bullets had an overall dual meet record of 10-1 with a record of 7-0 at home. In the Centennial Conference they had a mark of 6-1. They won the Centennial Conference Championships team crown with 887.5 points, 31.5 points ahead of second place finisher Swarthmore.

Thomas Anderson (Middletown North High School) was a junior competitor in the 184 and 197 pound weight classes for The College of New Jersey (Ewing) wrestling team. Anderson, listed as an Open Option Humanities major posted an overall record of 17-4 and he was 9-0 in dual meets. Anderson placed third at 197 at the Roger Williams Invitational in Bristol, Rhode Island.
The Lions had an overall record of 16-2 with a mark of 3-0 on their home mat. They won the NCAA Mideast Regional Tournament held in Ithaca, New York.
Anthony Vetrano (Middletown North High School) was a senior listed as a Finance major for the Bloomsburg University (Pennsylvania) wrestling squad. Vetrano, who wrestled in the 174 pound weight class, had four victories on the season.
The Huskies had three dual meet wins, two of which were earned on their home mat. They placed 14th in the team scoring at the Mid American Conference Championships held in DeKalb, Illinois.
Stanley Wojdylak (Middletown North High School) was on the roster as a sophomore competitor in the 157 pound weight class for the Centenary University (Hackettstown, NJ) wrestling program. Wojdylak, listed as an Accounting major had an overall record of 13-14 with 10 wins in tournament competition.
The Cyclones tallied an overall record of 4-6 with a 2-2 mark at home. They placed sixth as a team at the NCAA Mideast Regional Tournament in Ithaca, New York.
Justin Weimer (Middletown South High School) is on the roster as a sophomore competitor in the 165 pound weight class for the University of Scranton wrestling program. Weimer, listed as a Criminal Justice major posted an overall record of 7-4 with a mark of 3-0 in dual meets. He recorded a 45-second pin this winter.
The Royals had an overall season record of 18-8. They placed ninth in the team scoring at the NCAA Mideast Regionals in Ithaca, New York.
