MAPLEWOOD, NJ - The 3rd Annual Bob Miller Oysterfest will be held this Saturday, September 16, at The Woodland (60 Woodland Road) from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Oysterfest honors the life of Bob Miller and raises awareness for Melanoma - all while having a grand ole time with entertainment, kids activities, food trucks, beer trucks, and a Tullamore Dew Snug onsite.
This event is designed to raise funds for cancer research and awareness and to provide financial support to families facing crises.
According to event organizers, the 2017 Oysterfest will be a fun-filled day "with live bands, music from popular Brian Kirk and the Jirks, and loads of kid’s activities (until 5 p.m.) including face painters, photo booth, life-size games."
Oytsterfest will also have a variety of food choices from Pizza Vita, Abril Cucina, Empanada Guy, Maplewood Grille, St. James’s Gate, and more. The Emcee is Alisyn Camerota from CNN's New Day.
There are free on-site Melanoma skin screenings from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
